01.Challenge
Our client, a property management startup from Colorado Springs, saw their mission as providing upgraded user experience to hosts and renters. After listing their own home on Airbnb, they realized that property owners face many challenges associated with property publishing and maintenance. For example, they must take high-resolution photos, communicate with renters, organize cleaning, and ensure timely access to the property. All this takes a lot of time and effort, but our client believed the process should be simpler.
With this in mind, they created a property management service, Hoste. This was to help hosts with managing their properties, allowing property owners to receive passive income without investing too much time.
The initial version of the software was implemented on the no-code Salesforce platform. However, due to various performance and functionality issues, the client decided to completely rewrite it using cutting-edge technologies. They turned to Erbis to implement property management SaaS with an excellent user experience.
02.Pre-development stage
We began the project by carefully reviewing the project documentation, conducting functionality tests, and documenting the client's specific requirements. Furthermore, we thoroughly examined the existing IT infrastructure and technologies employed to shape our approach to project implementation.
During the pre-development phase, we provided the client with a detailed roadmap, a breakdown of features, and technical justifications outlining the rationale behind the implementation of each function. This ensured a clear and well-defined plan for the project's progress and development.
In collaboration with the client, we held regular discussions to align our vision and gather valuable insights. This collaborative approach allowed us to incorporate the client's input effectively, ensuring that the final solution met their expectations while adhering to industry best practices.

The team consisted of three full-stack developers and a tech lead.
During the course of development, we implemented fundamental building blocks and key modules that handle the core logic and operations of the software. We also set up data structures and key features that enable the software to perform its primary functions.
Throughout the development process, we followed the established Scrum framework, enabling us to effectively track work progress through iterative two-week cycles. Additionally, we maintained regular meetings with the client to provide comprehensive updates on completed tasks, upcoming plans, encountered challenges, and our proposed solutions to address them.

Accounting and taxation. Hoste representatives apply for a sales tax license on the users' behalf, provide detailed monthly accounting statements, and handle other tax-related activities associated with short-term property rental.
Housekeeping. Users can benefit from high-quality cleaning and laundry services, ensuring their property is rented flawlessly.
Guest relations. Hoste takes care of all guest communications, seamlessly managing everything from the initial booking process to check-in, check-out, and even post-stay follow-ups.
